Boxing Champions Collection of Fight Worn Robes & Trunks (5)
Everyone loves a winner…and his wardrobe. This white and red satin set was once worn by former WBA Heavyweight champ Michael Dokes. The trunks are embroidered “Dokes’ in red cursive on the left front leg and have the manufacturer’s name, “Spartan”, sewn on the front waist in tackle twill and screened to a patch on the reverse. The back of the accompanying robe is embroidered, “Michael “Dynamite” Dokes, in red cursive and also has a “Spartan” patch sewn to the left chest. The waist belt is missing. One-time NABF and WBA Light-Heavyweight Champ Mattew Saad Muhammad suited up in the next black and white ensemble. The “Everlast” trunks have been cleaned yet still have faint blood stains on the front and back. The matching robe has an “Everlast” patch on the left chest and “Matthew Saad Muhammad” in black tackle twill on the reverse. Lastly there are the tri-color satin “Everlast” trunks worn by Oliver McCall, the former WBC Heavyweight title holder and one of the few men to have beaten current champ Lennox Lewis. Each piece is signed or inscribed by the fighter and all show solid use.
