Boxing Ticket Collection of Six
This collection of six boxing tickets includes both full tickets and stubs. First up is a stub from the International Athletic Club's September 15, 1902 Middleweight Championship Contest between Tommy Ryan and Kid Carter. Our first full ticket is marked "press" on the back and is for the Heavyweight Championship, Dempsey vs. Gibbons on July 4, 1923 in Shelby, Montana (two of the corners on this ticket are missing). Next is a full ticket from the World's Welterweight Championship between Young Corbett and Jimmy McLarnin on Monday, May 29, 1933 at Wrigley Field. We also have a full ticket from the October 2, 1939 fight between Fred Apostoli and Ceferino Garcia at Madison Square Garden. Next is a full ticket from a War Bond Bout from August 4, 1944 between Bob Montgomery and Beau Jack at Madison Square Garden. Last, we have a a full ticket from the Yale Bowl on Saturday, October 31, 1925 - a football match between Army and Yale.
