A four page, handwritten outpouring of love to Jim Braddock, the Cinderella Man, from his soon to be devoted wife Miss Mae Fox, in a letter dated July 15, 1929, where she mentions that she “got a card from Jennie (the girl who was just married), and she tells me that there is no place like the Catskills for a honeymoon;” Braddock may have had other things on his mind, being that three days later he would be in the ring for the biggest fight of his career (at that point), the Light Heavyweight Championship, where he would lose in his bid to dethrone champ Tommy Loughran. This EX letter comes in a postmarked envelope addressed to the White Sulphur Springs Hotel, in Mechanicsville, N.Y.
