The man who would lead the New York Jets to a stunning victory over the Baltimore Colts in Super Bowl III took his first snap as a professional quarterback on August 7, 1965 in an exhibition game against the Houston Oilers in Alexandria, Virginia. Here's the off-site program from that game, which was played at George Washington High School Stadium. It is in EX condition with a staple hole in thee top right corner where the stub was attached. The ticket grades GD. This was Namath's first game since injuring his knee his senior year at the University of Alabama.
