Buck Jones Screen Worn Cowboy Hat

Buck Jones Screen Worn Cowboy Hat

In the roaring 1920s, Buck Jones was one of the top Western movie stars of the silent film era. This majestic piece is Buck Jones' screen worn cowboy hat, with the brim measuring 17" from front-to back. "Buck Jones" is handwritten in black marker inside, the silk band is intact, and the tags inside have been removed, with stitch remnants still present. Though his star waned somewhat with the advent of talking pictures, Jones enjoyed a career resurrection in the 1930s, but was tragically killed as a result of the famed Coconut Grove fire in 1942 at the age of 50. As a bonus, we're including issue #589 of the Buck Jones comic book from 1954.
