Buffalo Bill Cody Signed "Wild West Show" Ticket to Artist Edward Borein (PSA)

Buffalo Bill Cody Signed "Wild West Show" Ticket to Artist Edward Borein (PSA)

Scare ticket to "Buffalo Bill's Wild West and Congress of Rough Riders of the World" show, circa 1900, signed by Buffalo Bill on the reverse. PSA has encapsulated the ticket and certified the signature as "Authentic." The ticket, which features a portrait of Buffalo Bill on the front, features a line at the base where one of the show's promoters could sign to give complimentary access. In this case, Buffalo Bill, gave more extensive access to the bearer, which necessitated a lengthier inscription on the reverse that reads, "Admit Mr. Borein to make sketches around camp - Wm F. Cody." Both the inscription and signature have been scripted in pencil and grade 7/10 overall. Although he is noted by his last name only, this pass was almost certainly issued to renowned artist Edward Borein, who is known for his etchings and paintings of Western scenes. Borein worked as a cowboy during his early life and eventually opened an art studio in California. The ticket (3.75x2.25") displays a vertical fold, moderate creasing, and two small areas of paper/adhesive residue on the reverse (not significantly affecting the signature) from having once been mounted in an album. In Good condition overall.
