Carlos Ortiz was born on September 9, 1936 in Ponce, Puerto Rico. He won the World Lightweight Title on April 21, 1962 from Joe Brown. He eventually lost the title to Carlos Teo Cruz on June 29, 1968. He retired after losing to Ken Buchanan on September 20, 1972 with a final record of 61-7-1 with 1 no contest and 30 KO's. Presented here is a group of original, full, unused tickets from the career of Carlos Ortiz. Lot includes five authenticated by PSA/DNA: Ortiz-Loi (EX-1960), Ortiz-Kosaka (EX-1962), Ortiz-Lane (EX-1964), Ortiz-Laguna (GD-1965), and Ortiz-Ramos (GD-1967). The remainder range from GD to VG glued on board: Ortiz-Acera, Ortiz-Ramos, Ortiz-Graham, Ortiz-Vallant, Ortiz-Brown, Ortiz-Bizzarro, and a pass for Ortiz-Brown. Rare group
