Cassius Clay vs Sonny Liston First Fight Ticket Stub Signed by Ali
On February 25, 1964, Cassius Clay fought Sonny Liston for the World Heavyweight Title. Clay won the title from Liston after Liston retired in the 7th round, citing an injured shoulder. After this fight Clay changed his name to Muhammad X and then Muhammad Ali. It was the Ring Magazine 1964 Fight of the Year. Offered here is an original, on-site, ticket stub for this event. This stub pictures Cassius Clay (Liston image has been torn off), and includes a section, row and seat number. Boldly signed Muhammad Ali in black sharpie by Ali. Stub is not creased. Exhibits slight soiling and edge wear. 2.5x4." Even as a stub this is rare and one of the most desirable tickets in the hobby. Comes with full PSA/DNA LOA.
