On February 25, 1964 in Miami Beach, young and brash Cassius Clay shocked everyone by winning the World Heavyweight Title by defeating Sonny Liston. Clay was awarded a championship belt by The Ring, but that belt, long ago sold by Ali corner man Bundini Brown, has never surfaced. Offered here is a replica belt honoring Clay's achievement. An incredibly intricate Cassius Clay replica Championship Belt, created for the 75th Anniversary of The Ring magazine. The belt, along with three others, were commissioned by The Ring, one for auction, one for display, and two for magazine executives. It contains four plates plus the center plate resting on a gorgeous red, white, blue and gold cloth sash. A truly stunning display piece!
