Cassius X Clay Signed "Rumble in the Jungle" Centerfold with Unique Note from George Foreman
Centerfold from a magazine depicting George Foreman and Muhammad Ali from the 1974 "Rumble in the Jungle" in Zaire, Africa. Well-known image of sweat flying from an Ali right hand has one fold in the center. Signed with a rare "Cassius X Clay" signature in 1980, the magazine page is from a 1980 issue of Inside Sports. There are less than a handful known signatures of Clay with the "X". There is a unique hand written and signed note on an affixed post-it from George Foreman in which he writes, "This photo is a no-no. Sorry, George Foreman. I will donate your check to the youth center." This note makes us believe that someone sent Foreman this photo for him to sign, and included a check to pay for it, but Foreman denied the request. Or perhaps it was the content with which Big George took umbrage. Both Clay and Foreman signatures are PSA certified.
