Although they did not appear there every year, when the legendary Boston Celtics weren't playing home contests at the venerable Boston Garden, they occasionally graced the floor of the Hartford Civic Center in Connecticut wearing the home whites. The Celtics played at the Civic Center from 1975 to 1994 and this actual section of center court was used at least during the years from 1980-1993. This piece of genuine hardwood sports a hand-painted version of the traditional Celts leprechaun logo, which appears to be the only one used, though it was likely touched up over the years. Among the greats of the sport to pound the rock at the HCC were the '85-86 champs of MVP Larry Bird and Bill Walton, as well as the likes of Dave Cowens, John Havlicek, Robert Parrish, Kevin McHale, JoJo White, and so many more. Three Boston title-winning seasons ('75-76, '80-81, and '85-86) included games by Boston at their "Home away from Home" court, where the Beantowners appeard 39 times in all, amassing an impressive 27-12 record. This piece of NBA history is an amazing opportunity, the likes of which is rarely available.
