Cerimonial Ground Breaking Shovel From New Busch Stadium

Actual shovel that broke ground at New Busch Stadium site is one of a very small number of commemorative specimens produced for Cards executives who participated in the historic ceremony. It's unique design includes a bat-style handle and engraved silver bottom that reads, "St. Louis Cardinals-Ballpark Groundbreaking-January 2004". Measures 38". EX-MT. Also included is the circular sign that hung in the background for all photos taken that day. Measuring 28" in diameter, it is adorned with a brilliant team logo and the date. EX+. Both items are affixed with Busch Stadium COAs.
