Charles Lindbergh Flown Signed Air Mail Cover

Charles Lindbergh Flown Signed Air Mail Cover

U.S. air mail pilot Charles Lindbergh rose to fame when he flew non-stop from New York to France in 1927. Behold the first flight international air mail cover from two years later. It's signed In bold black fountain pen, both by Lindbergh and the postmaster at the time, O.W. Pittman. Also included is a 1927 premium in the original envelope. Lindbergh was awarded the nation's highest military decoration, the Medal of Honor. In 1932, tragedy struck on a grand scale in the Lindbergh family as infant son, Charles, Jr., was kidnapped and murdered in what was dubbed the "Crime of the Century."
