Christy Mathewson is front-and-center in this circa 1910 original, from-the-camera, one of a kind glass plate negative. This beautiful, crystal clear image depicts Matty in his pitching followthrough while warming up for Giants game in the prime of his Hall of Fame career. Slight image loss to very edges and minor oxidation do not at all diminish the right-hander's fine form in this 5x7" gem from the extensive archives of the Brown Brothers photo service.
