Christy Mathewson Winds Up Glass Plate Negative
Early 1910s glass plate negative of Christy Mathewson in action. The right-hander is shown with hands above head at the top of his windup. Slight image loss at the top edge of this 5x7" plate, but the image of the man who won 373 career games is not at all impacted. Comes from the Brown Brothers collection, the photo service which was founded in 1904.
