Chuck Wepner Fight Worn Robe
Offered here is a robe worn by Chuck Wepner, the man who inspired Sylvester Stallone to make the movie "Rocky." The inspirational film was based on Wepner's performance against Muhammad Ali on March 24, 1975 after Wepner had defeated Ernie Terrell for the NABA title in 1973. It has been signed by Chuck Wepner. This is a full-length, red satin robe with black trim and is missing the sash. On the front left breast is a patch for the manufacturer, EVERLAST. On the front right breast is the name, CHUCK, and it is signed in black ink under that name, "Chuck Wepner." On the back of the robe in black lettering is sewn, "N.A.B.A. Heavyweight Champion." In fine condition. Generally clean with no holes.
