Circa 1896 Temptation Cigar Box
Like a great wine, objects of art such as this only get better with age. Easily the best cigar box we've ever seen, this late 19th Century curio is distinguished by African-American stereotypes and a rare inner pop-up die-cut inside. This was purchased for well over $1,000. There is an 1896 patent, which does not represent the exact year but right after that. There are some marks and scars but the color is good and it is overall very pleasing to the eye.
