Circa 1900 Baseball Team Cabinet Photo Pair (2)
Two baseball cabinet rarities, each picturing an unidentified ball club. 8x10" example with 4x5.5" image, features ten players, five of whom are pictured in highly decorated uniforms with their bats, gloves, ball and wire catcher's mask present. Smaller 7x9" example with 5x7" image features ten players, with a few onlookers to the side, wearing what appears to be their "street clothes," one player is in a unique cut off shirt with an Old English "D" prominently displayed. The players appear to be lounging in the tall grass with some of their precious baseball equipment close by.
