Circa 1900 James Jeffries Boxing Champion of the World Vaudeville Poster
Unusual and early American vaudeville poster from circa 1900, starring legendary heavyweight James Jeffries. The poster mentions "For the edification of lovers of athletic sports, immediately after the performance a physical culture demonstration will be given by James L. Jeffries and JOE KENNEDY." The wording says American, so this must be right before his European tour in 1900. Interesting for a boxer to perform vaudeville, but speaks to Jeffries' notoriety. The poster measures 11x14" and is folded down the center, otherwise in EX-MT condition.
