Circa 1906 Georgia Tech Football Team Photo with John Heisman
From his early days as a football coach at Georgia Tech, this mounted photo was John Heisman's personal copy and originates from the collection of Ernestine Vaughan, a close friend of the Heisman family. The Hall of Famer and namesake of the college football trophy is in the center of the photo surrounded by his players. He is shown holding a small dog and wearing a stylish cap. Both the photo and mount are EX and come with an LOA. John Heisman material of any kind is incredibly scare, so this is a rare gem indeed. Heisman not only coached the Yellowjackets' football team for 15 seasons, he also served as baseball and basketball coach, including two years (1908-09) as head coach for all three. 5 5/8 x 6 1/2" matted to 9 x 11".
