Circa 1910 Sure Shot Chewing Tobacco Baseball Advertising Display

Circa 1910 Sure Shot Chewing Tobacco Baseball Advertising Display

Originally the center portion of what was a tri-fold display, this very rare and very colorful point-of-purchase display shows a game in progress with striking colors. It is estimated 85 percent original, 15 percent restored (some recoloring and de-creasing) and features the phrasing: "SURE SHOT CHEWING TOBACCO - IT TOUCHES THE SPOT" as well as a drawing of the "clean and sweet" Sure Shot packet. The artwork on heavy board measures 20x33.5" and 26.5x40.5" framed. The original left panel showed the catcher, while the pitcher was on the right. A tremendous example of larger-than-life, early 1900s advertising that would be impossible to miss in any store it was displayed.
