Circa 1914 New York Giants Batting Lineup Original Glass Negative
Original glass negative capturing eight members of the New York Giants posing on the sideline at the Polo Grounds prior to a game, circa 1914. Each player is pictured holding a bat over his shoulder, including Chief Meyers, Fred Snodgrass, Al Demaree, and Larry Doyle. The glass negative (7x5") displays a few small areas of emulsion loss along the border areas that do affect the central image. Culled from the legendary Brown Brothers Photo Archive.
