Circa 1914 Yale vs. Harvard Football Game Photograph (PSA Type I)
Vintage circa 1914 black and white photo from one of America's most prominent sports rivalries - Harvard vs. Yale football. Wide angle shot in this 5.25x4.75" Type I photo shows the teams running a play from scrimmage as a packed stadium looks on. The third most-played rivalry in college sports history, Yale dominated the early years with 21 wins and four ties in 30 meetings, but the tide turned to the Crimson with eight victories in nine seasons from 1912-1922 (both schools suspended football in 1917-18 due to World War I). Verso has extensive stamps from Brown Brothers, as this is part of the noted photo archive collection. PSA encapsulated Type I.
