Circa 1915 Jake Daubert Decal Bat

Circa 1915 Jake Daubert Decal Bat

Vintage circa 1915 Louisville Slugger decal bat featuring Brooklyn Robins first baseman Jake Daubert. Bat measures 35.5 inches long and measures 35.5 ounces, though the extensive use displayed is not attributed to Major League game action. During this era, Hillerich and Bradsby experimented with releasing bats with color portraits of various players painted on the barrel. These have become highly coveted by collectors as the painted portion has not stood the test of time in most examples. This one also displays some significant image loss, especially unfortunately a patch over Daubert's face, though there is still some great color and the player image remains mostly visible, with much of the wear occurring at the edges.
