Circa 1915 Rube Bressler Game Worn Glove Presented to Larry Ritter

Circa 1915 Rube Bressler Game Worn Glove Presented to Larry Ritter

A precious old time baseball relic, this worn glove from Dead Ball Era slap-hitting master, Rube Bressler is a signature model, branded with his facsimile signature, next to what appears to be a Mitchell & Ness label on the back of the glove. Well used and broken in, although the years have left the genuine leather slightly hardened. The laces are beautifully intact all the way around the glove. Bressler achieved a lifetime batting average of .301, using a split handed grip similar to the great Ty Cobb. This game worn glove was given to author, Larry Ritter after he interviewed Bressler for his famous book, Glory of Their Times. Comes with LOA from the subsequent recipient of the glove.
