Circa 1923 Babe Ruth Sliding Photograph - Safe at First (PSA Type I)

Circa 1923 Babe Ruth Sliding Photograph - Safe at First (PSA Type I)

Original Type I photograph capturing Babe Ruth sliding back into first base during a game. The handwritten editorial caption on the reverse reads "Ruth slides to 1st after catcher tries to get him." Although no other information is provided, the player at first appears to be dressed in a New York Giants uniform worn by the club only in 1923, which would make this a 1923 World Series photo taken at Yankee Stadium. 1923 marked both the first World Series at the newly opened Yankee Stadium and first World Championship in Yankees franchise history. The photo (8x10") displays a few light-to-moderate creases. Very Good condition. PSA encapsulated as Type I Authentic.
