Circa 1927 Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig Signed Baseball

Circa 1927 Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig Signed Baseball

This red and blue stitched Reach Official American League Baseball (Ban Johnson) has been signed in black fountain pen circa 1927 by "Murderers' Row" Yankees Babe Ruth (sweet spot), Lou Gehrig and Tony Lazzeri. In the acclaimed 1927 season, these three HOFers were the one-two-three home run hitters in the league, with 60, 47 and 18 respectively. The ball itself is toned to a light brown and is in overall VG condition. The Ruth signature grades a 7 and has quotation marks around "Babe," a practice that he all but discontinued after the 1927 season. The large Gehrig signature is on the side panel below the "Reach" logo and grades a 6.5, with the Lazzeri on the oppposite panel grading a 6.5 as well.
