Circa 1927 Bill Foster Photo
Here’s the best Bill Foster photo we have encountered, and this one comes right from his family! In this 8” x 10” 1927 B&W photo, Foster is shown following through with his delivery. A small photo of fine looking young women has been cut out and pasted above Foster’s image, which may have been done by Foster himself. Written in blue ink at the bottom is “Bill Foster and company,” which may be in Foster’s hand, although we cannot confirm this since there is little to no writing of his from this time period. There’s wear in the form of a few creases, tape marks and some staining, but the image still has an excellent appearance! “Woodland’s Studio Chgo” is at the bottom right of the photo in white.
