Circa 1927 New York Yankees & Boston Red Sox Signed Baseball

Circa 1927 Yankees team signed baseball. After losing the World Series in 1926 to the St. Louis Cardinals, the '27 Yankees came back with a vergeance. They had a 110-44 record, finishing first by 19 games and swept the Pittsburgh Pirates in the World Series. This was the year that Babe Ruth hit his then record 60 home runs. Yankees: HOF Ruth, HOF Gehrig, HOF Lazzeri, Hoyt, Pennock, Bengough, Gazella, Durst, Dugan. Red Sox: HOF Ruffing, Harris, Hofman, Rothrock, MacFayden, Russell. Three unidentifiable. On Official American League baseball. Hofman was on Sox in 1927 and 1928, and all other identifiable played on either Yankees or Red during those two seasons. Ruth is nicest signature on the ball, 7/10, right on sweet spot. Signatures overall 5/10, condition VG-EX. Possible game ball from a game between Yankees and Red Sox. Ball has very heavy toning.
