Circa 1931 Babe Ruth & Lou Gehrig Signed Baseball

Circa 1931 Babe Ruth & Lou Gehrig Signed Baseball

No two names in the history of the game command more respect than those of Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig. Their play revolutionized the game and their faces nostalgically haunt our memories. 1931 was an historical year. Together the duo combined to produce an astonishing 347 runs, a record that is yet to be threatened and may possibly never be rewritten. That year, back-up catcher and teammate, Cy Perkins attained what so many of us desire. On the sweet spot, Ruth took permanent residence with his blue signature joined by Gehrig’s equally impressive mark on the side panel. Both signatures are nicely legible, slightly faded, rating 7.5/10. The red and blue stitched OAL (Barnard) ball has remained very white in EX-MT condition, accentuating these great signatures. Comes complete with its original box (EX). Unquestionably, one of the finest balls we have ever handled. Signed also by Cy Perkins, this gem was obtained from the Perkins Estate. LOA. Magnificent.
