Circa 1939 Jimmie Foxx Signed Game Used Bat
A Jimmie Foxx game used bat is truly a rare item, and it is not often that a bat from this 500 Home Run Club member comes up for sale, as only a dozen or so are known to exist. This is one of those bats, and to sweeten to deal, it is signed by Foxx himself on the barrel! The number of signed, game used Foxx bats in existence can be counted on less than five fingers. This is a Hillerich & Bradsby 125 with no model number on the knob. It appears to be an F4 model, and its 35" length and 32 oz. weight matches the specifications of bats ordered by Foxx. Shows very nice use but is uncracked. Foxx's signature is on the barrel above his brand in very nice dark black fountain ink. The two "x"'s in "Foxx" have some smudging but the rest of the signature grades a solid 7/10. LOA from PSA on the signature makes mention that the bat has undergone some professional restoration. First signed and game used Foxx bat we have ever handled.
