Circa 1947 Jackie Robinson & Teammates Photograph (PSA Type I)

Circa 1947 Jackie Robinson & Teammates Photograph (PSA Type I)

Original Type I photograph capturing Jackie Robinson posing on the steps of the dugout with five other Brooklyn Dodgers team members. Coach Clyde Sukeforth is next to Robinson on his right, while coaches Jake Pitler and Ray Blades are on Robinson's left. While we cannot positively identify the other two players, the player second from the left appears to be Paul Minner. Ray Blades was a coach with the Dodgers only in 1947 and 1948; thereby making this an early Robinson photo dating from one of his first two seasons in the Majors. An "International News Photo" credit stamp appears on the reverse. The photo (8.5x6.5") displays several light creases throughout and is in Very Good condition overall. PSA encapsulated as Type I Authentic.
