Circa 1948 Boston Braves Television and Radio Banners
From the early days of television when it started to squeeze out radio as the preferred method of following baseball, come these (2) Ballantine Beer/Boston Braves advertising banners. These silk like banners were once proudly displayed in shops and bars all over the Boston area to promote Ballantine Beer and Bostons favorite National League baseball team, the Braves. Yellow and blue, these banners are in VG condition with no rips or tears present. One reads, "Listen to the Boston Braves ...brought to you by Ballantine Americas Largest Selling Ale." and the other reads, " See the Boston Braves on Television ...brught to you by Ballantine America's Largest Selling Ale." 11.5x16.5".
