Circa 1960 Dick Clark/American Bandstand B. F. Goodrich Advertising Display

Circa 1960 Dick Clark/American Bandstand B. F. Goodrich Advertising Display

B. F. Goodrich advertising sign, issued in promotion of "P-F Canvas Shoes," featuring American Bandstand host Dick Clark. The colorful cardboard sign pictures a large image of Clark holding a sneaker, below which is the American Bandstand banner and the slogan "Get the shoes the teenagers choose." Dick Clark was the host of American Bandstand from 1956 to 1989, which was its final season. As seen here, the show's popularity made Clark an influencer for generations of teenage fans during its long run. The sign (approximately 9.75"x17.25"; visible dimensions) displays a few tiny creases and is in apparent Excellent condition. Matted and framed to total dimensions of 16x24".
