Circa 1960 Large Ernie Davis Syracuse Photograph
The first african-american athlete to win football's prestigious Heisman Trophy, Ernie Davis had his number 45 retired by the Browns without ever having played a game for them. This shot, framed to roughly 35x43", shows Davis in 1960, just two years prior to his career-ending leukemia diagnosis. In black and white, the photograph is of Davis in gear, proudly wearing his number 44 Syracuse jersey, standing next to two other men. This print is in VG condition, and comes in its original frame.
