Circa 1962 Marilyn Monroe 20th Century Fox Original Photograph (PSA Type I)
Displayed is an original, circa 1962 20th Century-Fox Type I photograph of Marilyn Monroe. The iconic actress was known for her many movie portrayals of "dumb blonde bombshell" characters for much of her career, and she struggled throughout her acting years to break out of the "dumb blonde" stereotype. Monroe starred in many films, mostly with 20th Century-Fox. Just some of her well-known movies: Monkey Business, How to Marry a Millionaire, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Bus Stop, and Some Like It Hot. After a short marriage at age 16 to a sailor, Monroe later married baseball Hall of Famer Joe DiMaggio and then Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Arthur Miller. Sadly, the offered original photograph was taken circa 1962, which was the last year of Monroe's life, as she had finished her last complete film, The Misfits. The photograph has been encapsulated and PSA certified Type I AUTHENTIC.
