This lot offers a window into Sonny the man; out of the ring in a series of candid photographs with friends and family. And what's really amazing is that, in most of the images, Liston is smiling. Now, how often have you seen that?See an exuberant Sonny socializing with friends and family, throwing a mock roundhouse, arm wrestling, trying a cigar, and playing with a child while holding his silver topped walking stick. And in each image, he is dressed to the nines in a beautifully tailored suit.It should be stressed these images aren't staged; they are candid shots of Sonny (circa 1962) during happier times when he was the champ. Each of the crisp, sharp original vintage prints measures to dimensions of 8x10" and one is housed in a vintage Beverly Hills Camera Shop sleeve.
