Circa 1975 Larry Seiple Miami Dolphins Game Worn Jersey
Displayed is a 1975 game worn Larry Seiple Miami Dolphins jersey. Seiple was a punter, tight end, and sometimes halfback with Miami, and he played his entire career with the Dolphins, first in the AFL from 1967-69 and then in the NFL from 1970-77. Seiple punted 633 times in his career, for an average of 40.0 yards a punt. He also caught 73 passes in his time in the AFL/NFL, for 934 yards and seven touchdowns. In 1975, when Seiple wore this jersey, he punted 65 times for a 38.6-yard average and caught 10 passes for 84 yards. Seiple was a part of both the Miami Super Bowl VII and VIII Champions. The Miami Dolphins Super Bowl VII winners are still the only NFL team to have had a perfect season, as they went 17-0, including playoff games. The aqua jersey has orange and white trim. A Russell Athletic manufacturer's tag is on the lower left outer tail, and this tag shows the size as "XL." The chest and sleeves show "20" in white numerals with orange trim. The back has an aqua nameplate with "SEIPLE" in white, block letters. The jersey shows good use, especially for a player who was primarily a punter in the '75 season. Seiple's number "20" on the back shows some paint transfers, some loose threads, and a few small stains. There are a few team repairs.
