Circa 1977 Bernard King Game Worn New Jersey Nets Jersey - Sourced from Joe Taub (Photo-Matched)
A rookie era game worn jersey of Bernard King, this dates from one or possibly both of his first two seasons, which coincided with the franchise's move from Long Island to New Jersey, and from the ABA to the NBA. This home white mesh top has Rawlings size 44 tag on tail and displays heavy use, shown with holes in numbers and back nameplate and stains on the jersey. A talented and dynamic player from nearby Brooklyn, King was an instant fan-favorite, setting a Nets franchise scoring record in the first season of a 14-year career which culminated with induction into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.
