Circa 1978 Martina Navratilvoa Match Used Tennis Racket with Signed Cover
One of the most dominant tennis players of her - or any - era, Martina Navratilova won an amazing 167 career titles, including 18 in Grand Slam events. This Yonex racket is a Martina Navratilova special, the earliest of it's kind that we've seen, composed of carbon, graphite, and wood. Frame is made of wood and printing reads "Scientifically designed to lift your name... Custom made by YONEX for championship play." Strings are present but broken; it looks as though they have been cut from top to bottom and side-to-side, and the racket has been photo-matched. As a bonus, included is the original white cover which bears a faint, but legible, autograph in what appears to be blue ink which has faded to a purplish hue.
