Circa 1982 Shirley Muldowney Race Worn Helmet
Known as the "First Lady of Drag Racing," Shirley Muldowney was the first woman to receive a license from the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA), to drive a Top Fuel dragster, and is best remembered for winning the NHRA Top Fuel championship in 1977, 1980, 1982 and winning a total of 18 NHRA national events. From Muldowney's remarkable 1982 season comes this race worn helmet. Pink BELL helmet features rainbow striping down the center, "BELL" decal above the shield, "VALVOLINE" lettering below the shield and "PIONEER" lettering on the left and right. Helmet has a few scuffs, scratches and other signs of wear from previous use.
