Circa 1990 Mike Webster Kansas City Chiefs Game Issued Jersey
From Webster‚s days in Kansas City comes this impressive all red Kansas City Chiefs jersey. Game issued to the beloved Hall of Famer, this all original Wilson jersey wears a "48" flag attached to the front tail tag and features the number "53" on the front, both shoulders and just below the white on yellow "WEBSTER" tackle twill nameplate. Completely original but unfortunately shows zero use.Webster was the first former NFL player diagnosed with chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE). Since his death, he has become a symbol for head injuries in the NFL and the ongoing debate over player safety. His doctors were of the opinion that multiple concussions during his career damaged his frontal lobe, which caused cognitive dysfunction.
