Circa 1996 Ken Griffey Jr. Seattle Mariners Signed Game Used Helmet (Griffey Jr. COA)

Seattle Mariners batting helmet used by Ken Griffey Jr., circa 1996. Accompanied by a COA signed by Griffey attesting to its game-used status. The navy helmet features the Mariners logo on the front and Griffey's uniform number ("24") affixed in white numerals on both the brim and reverse exterior. An "American Baseball Cap" label, bearing a "7 1/8" size designation, is affixed to the interior. A "96" date code also appears on the interior. Griffey has flawlessly signed the helmet in silver paint pen (grading 10/10) on the brim. The helmet displays light-to-moderate use, including wear to the leather headband and a few minor scuffs to the exterior. 1998 was a banner season for Griffey. Playing in his tenth full season, the perennial All-Star slugger hit a career-high and league leading 56 home runs, totaled 146 RBI and batted .284. One of the greatest all-around players in baseball history, Griffey retired in 2010 with 630 home runs (7th all time), 1,836 RBI, a .284 lifetime average, and ten Gold Glove Awards. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2016, his first year of eligibility. COA from Ken Griffey Jr.
