Circa 2000s Ralph Kiner Pittsburgh Pirates "Old Timers Day" Jersey
Pittsburgh Pirates home jersey bearing the retired number of Hall of Fame slugger Ralph Kiner. This jersey dates from the 2003-2008 manufacturing period, and while it is a pro-model jersey, we have no knowledge of its past history or use. It might have been produced as a presentation jersey or perhaps for Kiner to wear at a reunion event, but that is pure speculation. Unfortunately, it comes with no documentation, so we will probably never know what purpose it served. The white knit vest-style jersey is lettered "Pirates" across the front and features the number "4" on the left breast and reverse. All letters and numerals are applied in black on gold tackle twill. Located on the interior left front tail are a "Majestic" label and adjacent "52" size tag. The jersey is all original and displays no use.
