Collection of Four $500 Bills (4)
Printing of high-denomination bills no longer exists with the advent of wire transfers and in order to combat crime since most usage of these denominations seemed to have been confined to illicit activities. This recently uncovered collection of four Federal Reserve Notes was issued in 1934 by the Federal Reserve in New York and given to our consignor’s grandfather decades ago as collateral for a larger loan. Luckily for all of us, he was never paid back and they remained in his possession until now! Overall VG condition.
