Collection with Boston Celtics Team-Signed Basketball PSA (3)

Collection with Boston Celtics Team-Signed Basketball PSA (3)

Presented is a valued collection of three signed basketballs, featuring signatures of NBA stars, including all-time great Hall of Famers. 1) A Wilson Indoor/Outdoor Pro 1000 basketball, team-signed by the 1991-92 Boston Celtics (with 15 signatures). Signatures: Reggie Lewis, Rick Fox, Dee Brown and three Hall of Fame inductees: Robert Parrish, Kevin McHale, and Larry Bird. The aforementioned players comprised possibly the greater frontcourt in NBA history with center Parrish, power forward McHale, small forward Larry Bird. 2) A Spalding Official Size and Weight NBA indoor basketball endorsed by the NBA (David Stern, Commissioner) that has been signed and inscribed by Hall of Fame forward Julius Erving. The 6'7" Erving, a small forward, played in the American Basketball Association for the Virginia Squires (1971-73) and the New York Nets (1973-76), and he was the ABA's biggest star. When the ABA merged with the NBA after the 1975-76 season. "Dr. J" played from 1976-87 with the Philadelphia 76ers. Between both the ABA and the NBA, Erving was a 16-time All-Star, a 2-time ABA Champion (1974 and 1976), an NBA Champion (1983), a 3-time ABA MVP and a 1-time NBA MVP. Before "Dr. J", most dunking was done by big men under the basket. Erving revolutionized the game by popularizing a flying dunk that started with an airborne take-off far from the basket. The ball is unused and in excellent condition, and Erving has used a black marker to inscribe and sign, "To Samantha, Julius 'Dr J' Erving." 3) A Molten Official Pro Touch basketball that has been signed and inscribed by Danny Ainge. He was a shooting guard on the Boston Celtics and a player on two NBA Championship teams. He also played Major League baseball for the Toronto Blue Jays. Ainge is now an NBA executive, and he has signed and inscribed the ball using black ink from a fine tipped marker. Ainge signed his name and added "44 Celtics." Also inscribed on the ball, both in an unknown hand, is "To Zachary" (handprinted in black ink from a fine-tipped marker) and "Merry Christmas" (handprinted in red ink from a fine tipped marker). This Molton basketball appears unused. It has some small stains and a few tiny spots where the orange surface color is missing, showing an underneath white color. The offered ball is in what seems to be its original box, and the box shows extensive wear, with a few small rips, some bending, occasional scuffing, and some paper loss. An unused inflation needle is wrapped in plastic and still inside the box. Each of the three basketballs comes with a PSA LOA.
