Coney Island "Steeplechase" Man Advertising Sign

Coney Island "Steeplechase" Man Advertising Sign

This fabulous original circular hand painted wood sign is from perhaps the greatest amusement park in world history. This "cowlicked" man was the symbol of the sadly defunct "Steeplechase Park", Brooklyn's home of the Parachute, the Steeplechase horse ride, and so many other great attractions. The thrilling colors make even the Cyclone seem tame. It has been brilliantly framed in an amazing circular design to show off its obvious traits. In excellent condition, this came right out of Brooklyn. The piece itself is 14" in diameter, and has been framed to 18" in diameter. EX-MT.
