Connie Mack Letter Electing Dave Bancroft All Time All Star + More (5)
Letter from Connie Mack, legendary HOF Philadelphia Athletics manager, to Dave Bancroft, from the Bancroft family. In the signed letter, Mack congratulates Bancroft for being selected to the All-Time, All-Star Philadelphia Baseball Team. In his typed, signed letter, Mack writes, "It would be good to have another evening with so many great players." Also, from the Bancroft family is an 8x10" 1959 Type 1 Ektachrome early color photo. Dave Bancroft, great National League shotstop for the Phils, Giants, Braves, and Dodgers, is wearing his actual New York Giants uniform. In photo, left to right, are HOF Bancroft, Charlie Root, HOF Dizzy Dean, and HOF Bill Terry. Also includes a signed typewritten letter to Bancroft from Phillies owner Ruly Carpenter. Photo and letters are in excellent condition.
