Conquistador Cielo Horse Racing Bronze By Marcel Jovine
Distinguished by exceptional craftsmanship and exquisite detail, this bronze sculpture of 1982 Belmont Stakes winner "Conquistador Cielo" by Marcel Jovine is titled: "1982 Horse of The Year / Conquistador Cielo." It is part of a limited edition, numbered 46/50, stands 9.5" tall with 3"x 9.5" base and is in NM-MT condition. A three-year-old stallion at the time of his feat, the esteemed racehorse was all set to run in the Kentucky Derby but was kept out due to a leg injury. He was held out of the Preakness Stakes as well, primarily as a precaution. This substantial and elegant work of art would grace an display or table top it rests upon.
