Controversial 1980 Olympics Bronze Boxing Medal
Prize medal presented to Yosvany Aguilera of Cuba for winning the bronze medal in the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow. This was a controversial "win" as Cuba protested when Aguilera lost in the quarter-finals to hometown Russian Kamil Dzamalutdinov because the "the judges did not score properly.'' This may have played a part in him letting go of this medal. Attractive medal still has original ribbon and red leather box. Overall EX-MT.
